Alta Precision’s Manufacturing facility is a new industrial building. Both the plant and offices are fully air conditioned, for maintenance of part accuracy’s and personnel comfort. The 37,500 sq. ft plant has enough free space for additional equipment and systems. Additionally, the land surface would allow an expansion of a further 25,000 sq. ft if required. All of the machine tools, which are predominantly Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) machines, were purchased new. They were selected for their overall performance in terms of size and accuracy, but also for their reliability. Many of the critical machines were also purchased with independent position feedback scales, to provide increased accuracy of machining. Alta Precision scrupulously maintains the equipment, in order to perform the highest quality work. A full list of machine tools and capacities is attached. Alta Precision is equipped with a very powerful CAD/CAM system from Unigraphics. The system is a full parametric solid modeller. Alta can import various file formats including; IGES, DXF, STL. STEP is presently being evaluated for possible future use. Complex five (5) axis parts are regularly programmed by our skilled personnel. All of the CNC machines are connected to the CAD/CAM system through a DNC network, to allow electronic NC program file management.
